Your screen is not our business.

Scrozz is built so the maintainer cannot receive your captures, learn how you use the app, or identify you. This page explains how.

The short version

Nothing leaves your computer unless you send it somewhere. No account, hosted service, analytics, telemetry, ads, crash reporter, or AI.

Captures and recordings

Your operating system makes the capture and Scrozz processes it on your computer. Local history is never uploaded, synced, inspected, or indexed on a Scrozz server because there is no Scrozz server.

A screenshot can contain passwords, private messages, customer data, and things outside the rectangle you intended to share. Scrozz gives you crop and redaction tools, but you decide where an export goes.

Text recognition

Text recognition runs on your device. No image and no recognized text is sent to a model or an API.

Sharing and storage

Saving writes directly to the folder or network share you selected. If you connect S3-compatible storage, Scrozz uploads directly to that provider with credentials you supplied. No Scrozz relay or account sits in between.

Network access

Scrozz works offline and has no hosted service to reach. Network activity happens only for an integration you explicitly configure, such as your own storage. There is no analytics endpoint, feature-flag service, account session, or background telemetry.

Permissions

Scrozz asks for a capability when you first use the feature that needs it, not at launch. The exact request depends on your desktop: screen capture, or input access only for behavior that watches clicks or drives scrolling.

Built with assistance, not powered by AI

Brandon Moore made Scrozz's product, architecture, and visual decisions. Coding agents helped implement those decisions and their tests. There is no model inside the app and nothing is generated from your screen.

This website

This is a static site on Cloudflare. It has no analytics, advertising pixel, tag manager, form, or third-party font request. The appearance choice in the bottom-right control is stored only in your browser.

Check the claim

Privacy is meant to be inspected, not trusted.Read the source and see exactly which optional actions are allowed to make a request.

Questions people ask

Does Scrozz upload my screenshots?

Never automatically. A capture leaves only when you drag, copy, save, or upload it somewhere you chose.

Is AI looking at my captures?

No. There is no model in the app. Text recognition runs on your device.

Can the maintainer see how I use it?

No. There is no telemetry, account, or hosted service, so there is nothing to see.
